Meet the Maker

Hi there. My name is Elizabeth Faulkner-Crawford, a.k.a. Liz.  I am the owner of Scented Soy, LLC. I started making candles over four years ago.  My sister in-law had just launched a business selling lashes and I was so impressed with her taking the leap to become an entrepreneur. I shared my excited with her and how I always wanted my own business.  She advised me to think about something that I really loved and learn about it.  I did just that.  I have always loved candles and thought that maybe that could be something for me to do as my own side thing.  Many YouTube “how to” videos later, and I was making candles. A few months later, I went to a market with a friend and decided that day that I would take my first step at selling my candles to actual people.  On a very hot day in late August 2021, I started selling my candles under the name The All Black Candle Company.

I have been working in corporate for over 30 years, where the first 10 years of my career was in the lab where I worked as chemical technician and chemist. So, the idea of candle science was just a perfect fit for me.

It's now been four years, and I am still going strong.  I rebranded in 2022 with a name change and established a legal entity for LLC.  Scented Soy LLC became official. I now have my own studio in Temecula and ready for business.
